This year, members will elect three directors to the SCCU Board of Directors to three-year terms. This year's candidates include (listed alphabetically) Mark Casper, Charles Glazman, James Larson, and Benjamin Thoen.

-Currently the Vice Chair on the SCCU Board of Directors
-Present Board Member for Superior Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement, UW-Superior Foundation, and Superior Rotary Club
-Married with two children
-Associate Dean of Continuing Education for Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College (WITC)
-Obtained a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Minnesota in 2008
-Involved in local initiatives such as the Northland Technology Consortium, Northwest Wisconsin Concentrated Employment Program Board of Directors, the Wisconsin Job Center-Superior Local Planning Team, and the City of Superior Police and Fire Commission
-Graduated from Michigan Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Civil Engineering
-Currently on the SCCU Board of Directors, serving as Chair of the Audit and Compliance Committee
-Retired from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation
-10 year volunteer as tax aide and counselor with AARP
-Corporate Executive Chef for Black Woods Group
-Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Culinary Arts from the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Chicago, Illinois
-Board of Directors for Book Across the Bay in Ashland, WI
-Involved in area events such as Zo La La Gala for Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth, and the Black Woods Blizzard Tour
Voting via online banking for eligible voters will begin on Friday, January 13, 2017, and will end Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 12 p.m. You can vote for the candidates from inside your encrypted online banking session. Just log in to It's Me 247 and look for the “Vote Now” icon to cast your ballot.
Prefer to vote in person? Every office will have a locked ballot box and paper ballots Starting on Friday, January 13, 2017, until the end of the day on Monday, February 13, 2017. You may also have a ballot and candidate information sent to you via the mail if that works best. Paper ballots received after Monday, February 13, 2017, will not be counted.
Only “Eligible Voting Members” may vote. This is defined in SCCU’s bylaws as a member who:
a. Is over the age of 18
b. Is the primary or sole account holder
c. Joined SCCU BEFORE July 12, 2016 (i.e. they need to have been a member six months at the end of the business day before the voting period begins on Jan. 13)
Businesses/Trusts/Organizations CAN vote, but the vote must be cast by an authorized representative. There is no duplicate voting—the concept here is “one member, one vote.”
