Fee updates effective May 15, 2019

The Superior Choice Credit Union board of directors has approved several fee changes. The following changes will go into effect on May 15, 2019:

  • ATM withdrawals at non-SCCU terminals $2.00
  • Money orders $3.00
  • Statement copies $4.00
  • Courtesy Pay fee $32.00
  • NSF/Overdraft fee $32.00
  • Stop payment fee $32.00 or 2% of check, whichever is greater
  • Cleared Check Image $2.00
  • Outgoing wire fee $20.00
  • Request to mail receipt $1.00
  • Closing Membership Savings within 90 days $25.00
  • Safe deposit box changes:
    • Size 3x5 $25.00 annual rental fee
    • Size 3x10 $50.00 annual rental fee
    • Size 5x5 $40.00 annual rental fee
    • Size 5x10 $60.00 annual rental fee
    • Size 10x10 $90.00 annual rental fee

Reminder: Remote Deposit Capture checks must be endorsed correctly!

Members who use our convenient Remote Deposit Capture services via the SCCU mobile app should be sure to remember to correctly endorse their the back of their checks "for mobile deposit only." Failure to properly endorse the check will result in the check being rejected for deposit when using the Remote Deposit Capture feature.

To endorse a check for Remote Deposit Capture, simply print the words "for mobile deposit only" below your signature on the back of the check you are depositing. Please see below for an example of how remote deposit checks must be endorsed.

Important year-end tax information for members who receive eStatements

This message is to alert members who are enrolled to receive eStatements that the tax information that is being provided to the IRS will be reported on their December 2018 electronic account statement (eStatement). No paper copy of the 1099-INT tax form will be mailed.

For members who have signed up for eStatements, tax information can be viewed after January 1, 2019, by accessing the December 2018 statement in online banking as usual.

Please contact us if you wish to discuss deactivating eStatements prior to December 31, 2018. Please note: online banking users who are not enrolled in eStatements will receive a paper statement fee. Click here to view SCCU's fee schedule. Some products, such as AMP Checking, require enrollment in eStatements in order to receive a qualifying rate. Please consider these factors before deactivating eStatements.

Starting Monday, December 10, 2018, www.dairylandstatebank.com will redirect to www.superiorchoice.com/dairyland — a special web page set up for the former customers of Dairyland State Bank.

Superior Choice Credit Union acquired Dairyland State Bank on August 31, 2018 but until the two financial institutions can combine technology systems, former Dairyland State Bank customers should use this special web page to log in to their online banking account and order checks online. The special web page at www.superiorchoice.com/dairyland is for Dairyland State Bank customers who joined the institution prior to August 31, 2018. Accounts that were opened after August 31, 2018 and enrolled in online banking can use the standard Superior Choice Credit Union online banking login found at www.superiorchoice.com

Former Dairyland State Bank customers who have saved their online banking username and password in their web broswer for the online banking login found at www.dairylandstatebank.com will have to re-enter their username and password into the login box found at www.superiorchoice.com/dairyland. Members who have forgotten their online banking username or password should call 715-868-2175 for assistance.

“I’m calling from [pick any bank]. Someone’s been using your debit card ending in 2345 at [pick any retailer]. I’ll need to verify your Social Security number — which ends in 8190, right? — and full debit card information so we can stop this unauthorized activity...”

So the caller ID shows the name of your bank. And the caller knows some of your personal details. Does that mean it’s legit? No. It’s a scam — and scammers are counting on the call being so unsettling that you might not stop to check your bank statement.
